1. Maine Coon
Maine Coon is considered the largest and cuddliest domesticated cat. A native to America, this cat has been discovered in the state of Maine. They are called “gentle giants” because even though they are huge for a cat, they are sociable, cuddly, and loving. For females, they can be as heavy as 10 to 15 pounds.
Fun Fact: Because of their size, Maine Coons are more prone to heart disease. Also, they love water!

Ragdolls are large, laid-back cats with striking blue eyes. His semi-longhaired coat, which comes in a broad spectrum of patterns and colors, is easy to groom, and maintain. Males can weigh about 20 pounds and females weigh about 10 to 15 pounds.
Fun Fact: Ragdolls are loving, friendly, eager to follow wherever you are and want to sleep with you at night.
Don’t confuse the Ragamuffin with his cousin the Ragdoll. The Ragamuffin is generally a calm cat, which is ideal for those living in apartments. This cat weighs more than 12 pounds and can live for up to 13 years.
Fun Fact: Ragamuffins are even tempered and can get along with almost everyone in the household.
6. Norwegian Forest Cat
A Norweigan Forest cat is a friendly and loving cat breed but does not require constant petting. He can be a little reserved when there are visitors. Males can weigh 13 to 22 pounds, and even more. On the other hand, females can weigh a little smaller.
Fun Fact: This active and athletic cat is a climber. You can see him at the highest parts of the house – on top of cabinets and even on trees.

Siberian cats are very sociable, loving and clingy to their owners. They are Russia’s national cat and has a thick double coat, which is perfect for surviving the cold climate in Russia during the winter. They can weigh up to 25 pounds.
